voltage meter fluctuation
On wet starts, the red 'amp' warning light comes on and the battery meter in the top right of the gauge cluster dips toward the 8 volt end for ~5 minutes. Once the car starts to get warm, the charge meter quickly jumps up again, toward 18, and the light goes off. Are there any common trouble spots for bad grounds or other connections?
I've also got an original alternator in there and I had a stone-cold dead battery in there for a few days before I replaced it--may have overworked the alternator. Are alternators weak on the Aeros?
Some tests you'll need to make with your voltmeter. Basically checking how the alternator performs while under load.
Loose, missing, or corroded grounds or cables will cause trouble. Look under "voltage drop testing" at the link for further testing on that. Let us know what you find.
