H1 projector conversion. It’s a little work to get them installed, but pretty cheap for all new lenses, and parts. At least in my ‘05 SD. They are extremely focused and bright.
I bought the Morimoto headlights for my truck, and I love them, much better than the stock lights, and DOT approved. https://www.morimotohid.com/morimoto...hts?quantity=1 I've also added a light bar, but you have to remember, the light bar is for OFF ROAD USE ONLY and is illegal for highway use.
I don't run a modded headlight assembly but have these in my headlights >> 9008/H13 bulbs.
They are brighter, exhaust into the assembly itself to help keep the front lens clearer in snow but in heavy snow, will get covered in snow some... high beams are useless unfortunately but with my Diode Dynamics SS3 LED pods in the factory locations, don't need them. They are brighter than the stock halogens but I was definitely disappointed with the high beam performance. Low beams performed well though...
These, and the GTR bulbs, are not cheap because they are engineered to perform like the halogens in a assembly designed to be used around halogen bulbs and their output.
If I had to do it again, I'd go with the GTR Lighting Ultra 3 bulbs. I just put a set in my wife's Kia Sportage with halogen projectors and My God, they are awesome... especially the high beams.
A guy in the 6.7 section bought the GTR Ultra 2s, he has a 11 to 16 gen Super Duty, and the pics he provided showed they work great. The high beams also... the Ultra 3s are just brighter.
I bought my wife's GTR Ultra 3 bulbs, H13s like my truck's, at this website. Second time ordering from them and was satisfied both times... they responded to emails as well in a timely fashion.
Brisource also sells the Morimoto 2 Stroke bulbs as well.
I am thinking of replacing my H13 Morimoto bulbs with a set of the GTR Ultra 3s... just because of the high beam performance... but they are brighter than the Morimoto in general.
Here's the Diode Dynamics SS3 foglight bulbs I run in white and Pro power level. They are not cheap but nothing of quality is...
These pods throw some serious light I will tell you...
Personally I'd go with a headlight LED upgrade first. It makes a much bigger difference in actual night driving compared to an in-grill light bar, which is more for looks or extra visibility in specific situations.
But it really depends on what you're trying to get out of it — function vs style.
