Dangit. Found this on the ground on end of my driveway

Couldn't believe I saw this laying on the ground.

Now I will have to pay some dude to get all the tires balanced for me since I don't know where this came from LOL.

That means hoping that I tell and the shop guys remember, the driver's side rear wheel is reverse thread (left hand thread) so they don't break my studs while they are in there.

Although, I'm pretty sure it came from one of the rear wheels. They seem to have larger weights on them. I know it came from the inside of the wheel since the outside ones have paint on them

Wheel weight

Look at the wheels -both inside and out. Look for scratch marks. Drive it at speeds. If you experience steering wheel shimmy, check the front tires. If you have body shake, check tge rear tires.

COULD be it is from a passing vehicle that lost a weight. HOPE HOPE.

ya...should be a mark on the rim where the clip was attached. Otherwise a passing kid may have tossed it onto your driveway knowing that it would drive you nuts.....

Look for cleaner places on rims where perhaps a weight might have shielded it from dirt?

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Could see the mark where it came off the tire. Hammered it back in and good to go.....

When wheel weights die and go to heaven, they become cast boolits. Non-lead weights go to ... well, t'other place

Local Les Schwab wants $17 per tire to balance...Damnit almost 80 bucks.

Well..maybe it's time they all get it anyway.

I think I may have found where it came from. There are two marks and it's lighter color here and looks about the size

Passenger front tire inside wheel

Why do you have left hand threads on the rear. Ford never used them. Change them out to right hand threads.

I'm a fan of tape weights for this reason. I've knocked so many of those things off 4 wheeling in the rocks....
