Its cool that I'm able to read some of the "problems"and "praises " of other Super Duty owners have here on this Web Site. I bought my truck using the D plan, outstanding deal, no hassle, and some great bennies of having a brother that works for a local dealership. I love my truck. I must confess that I didn't know of this web site before i purchased, though after reading some of the negative chatter, I second guessed my fast decision to drive one now. I rolled the dice sort a speak and rolled 7's a month and a half ago. I have nearly 5K miles, city/hwy. Absolutely no problems what so ever, not a squeek, vibe, shimmy, or shake. I look forward every day to run an errand, do whatever I can to get in that truck and drive. I will continue to use this website "as a tool" in my truck add ons buying desicions. I'm not loking to go "higher" than the neighbors monster truck, or go faster than the local race truck. I want to own a good looking truck thats practical for me and my family. I'm looking forward to putting my "2 cents" worth in some of these threads.
BDU,
My first Ford too, other than the ones I have with Big-Block Chevrolet engines in them! I will probably buy another one, if Ford continues to build a decent truck. These things rock!
Sounds like a nice truck. 8" with 38's. I bet that looks great. Myself, I'm in the middle of installing wiring for my multi mount winch. Front and rear receiver. I found a front receiver for 100$. A buddy of mine and I are drawing out the plans for the carrier tomorrow. Warn wants nearly 250 for the wiring kit alone. We can do the wiring and them some custom stuff for under 150. The connectors alone (from my local 4x4 shop) are 30 bones. Got them locally for under 5 bucks, with handles. Its going to a great add-on for me. Take it easy.
BDU,
Cool how you can save bucks by doing a little legwork and fab yourself.
mbnv,
This truck did come out pretty cool, and it drives so good, I don't want to drive anything else. Been commuting in it even, 200 miles a day to L.A. and back! And I have a gang of other vehicles I could drive!
