Triv Quiz:

Who wrote the theme song to "Hawaii Five-O"?

Franky Avalon and Annette Funicello starred in a series of Beach movies in the sixties - Who was the old man featured in them???

HOTWHEELS made a special edition mustang once, that was called the "BOSS HOSS" - what color was it?

What was Ed Roth's nickname, and what did he do?

Who were the old man and old lady on "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in"?

HOTROD CARTOONS had a group of munchkins as a regular feature (hint: one of them was named Melvin), and a bearded man who built a "Mini-Tee". What was the bearded guy called?
What was the Mini-Tee?

Is this an "open book" or "closed book" test? It's pretty easy to look up all that stuff on the internet. If I had to do it from memory, I'd get a zero, but after I looked most of them up it comes back to me, except for the Hotrod Cartoon that I never watched in the first place.

Morton Stevens wrote the theme song but it was performed by the Ventures.

I never did like Frankie or Annette.

My Boss Hoss was metal flake blue.

Ed * Big Daddy* Roth or Rat Fink! He was a Hot Rod customizer.

Ruth Buzzi and Arti Johnson aKa Gladys and Tyrone.

Never heard of Hot Rod cartoons.

Artie Johnson and Ruth Buzzy

I might as well bust it open, since it seems to be sinking as a thread:

Who wrote the theme song to "Hawaii Five-O"?

For two bucks and a set of water pump gaskets, that would be:
BUSTER KEATON! (His son Micheal starred in the first new BATMAN movie)

HOTWHEELS made a special edition mustang once, that was called the "BOSS HOSS" - what color was it?
I joined a club way back when, and the special edition one was CHROME, except for black decals.

What was Ed Roth's nickname, and what did he do?
Ed "Big Daddy" Roth was a builder of customized cars in the 1960's. He died recently.

Who were the old man and old lady on "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in"?

I see I stumped Y'all on that'n:
"PAPPY" and the MINI TEE ran for a while, it was a modified sand buggy based on a fiberglass body on a VW pan, with all the trimmings...

For those who got the most answers - how old do you feel NOW! (He asks, innocently...)

Greywolf,
Michael Keaton is not related to Buster. Michael's real last name is Douglas, but we already have a Michael Douglas, so he took the name from Diane Keaton, who used it because she liked Buster so much in the movies. Are we confused yet? The only one who's real last name is Keaton is Buster.

Well, I got one right: I had a Boss Hoss when I was a kid, and I do remember it was chrome. In fact, it was one of the few Hot Wheels I ever had. I wonder what the Boss Hoss is worth today?

Ah, The Ventures. My older brother had EVERY album they ever made. Anyone remember "Beat From Another World?" I used to play it just to scare the bejeezus out of my little sister. What a sick puppy I was (still am, come to think of it.....).

I knew the Ventures one, I have some of their stuff. And I knew who Ed Roth was just because one of my car mags did a piece on him when he died. Too young to remember the rest, I guess.
