EECIV module Test?

Anyone know if it is possible to test the EECIV module to see if it is good?...new one is almost $300.00

I think your local auto parts store can test them. $300.00 is really an inflated price for that module. Is this price from Ford or from an auto parts store?

it was from ford, parts store wanted $250 for after market.

Beware:

I went to Autozone to test my Ignition Control Module (EECIV). It Failed ... I bought a new one ( 99.00) I tried it on my truck. Did not work. Took new one bake to have it tested. ( IT FAILED THE TEST). Exchanged for another new ICM. Had it tested before i left the store. ( It Failed, A brand new part out of the box). The manufacturer is Wells ( fon du lac, WI ).

But I am more Suspicious of autozone's testing computer.
