2002 F-250 Crew Cab 7.3 diesel. Owned since new. Last few days here in Michigan we've had 15 below temps with brutal wind chills. Went to fuel up yesterday. After fill-up, started truck, went to put in gear to drive off and truck just died. No electrical power at all. As if someone turned the main breaker off. After 10 minutes or so tried to start it and got some weird stuff going on with dash lights flickering. After several tries full power came back and truck started and ran fine. Drove home and put it back in garage. Went out this morning and same thing happened, weird stuff with the dash then started. Anyone have any clues. Batteries shorting, pcm. At a standstill with this.
2002 and 03 models have a large terminal block or junction box on top of the driver side fender well that is known to corrode and cause the problems you describe. It's a little buried so follow the large wires. Will try to find a picture
Edit: This is from someone else's truck. The wires are removed, light blue box in the middle of the pic

Well you were right on. Had a chance to pull air box and battery today and there was that box. Took cover off, all corroded. Wiggle the cables and the terminal ends disintegrated in my hands. Cut ends and added new terminals. Runs like it should now. Thanks for the tip. Going to look into replacing battery cables next.
