Adding another 02 sensor on OBD1

I have built my engine and about to put it back in and I will be running true duels. Is there any way that i can add another 02 sensor and not trip the ECU or anything, I dont want to delete it or put a simm on it and I also dont think it's a good idea to run the sensor on just one side because I cant put the stock pipes that are together in one spot for the sensor on the new headers. Can anybody help with this one?

What is your truck?
You don't need a second O2 sensor and adding one won't help, just put a single sensor back into the passenger side header collector. Yes it is OK for it to only "see" one side of the motor, I had longtubes on my '90 and it ran perfectly with a single sensor for many years, I verified this with my tuner.

Yep you are good. That EFI system uses 2 batches of injectors.. 2 left bank and 2 right bank injectors in each batch but there is only 1 fuel map for all of them so it really doesn't matter how many cylinders the O2 sees.. all get the same injector duty cycle.
