Two tone Paint Job
There are too many variables to give you an accurate cost. Some them include:

The area you live in.
The amount of bodywork required.
The type of paint (acrylic enamel and urethane being the main ones)
What kind of results you are expecting

If you came to me and it was a simple scuff and shoot (no bodywork and the old paint was not being stripped off), you could expect to pay $500. That price does not include the cost of materials. If you wanted it colorsanded and buffed, add another $300.
Your paint costs depend on what you want and the quality of the product. For example, clearcoat can run you $75 - $170/gallon.
You need to decide what you want and then start pricing your area. I think you are going to find a paint job is an expensive item, if you are expecting top quality work. If you need help in choosing what you want, we can help you in that area.
I believe the truck is base/clear coat. Can I use a two part metallic over the clear coat? Or do I need a sealer to protect the clear coat from a reaction?
I was hopeing just to scuff and shoot, since the paint is like new.

If indeed it is a bc/cc urethane paint job, you don't need a sealer. Scuff and paint. 400 grit for a solid paint. 600 grit for metallics.
Be careful about cut-thrus where the base is exposed. The base could lift when exposed to the solvents of your new paint. If this does occur, normally I just touch up the area with some clear (allowing it to set up good) before I shoot the base. Clear is an excellent sealer.
