1966 F100 Help on Parts Identification...

Hello All,

When I tore my 1966 F100 apart, I bagged and tagged everything so I could put it all back together effortlessly. I came across a couple of items I forgot to tag.

Can any of you help identify the parts in the two photographs?

Thank you in advance!!

John

Not sure about the first pic. The second pic shows one of the Z bar pivot ends for your clutch linkage

I'm also not sure about the first one but I agree the second picture is the outboard support for the Z-bar and would mount on the top of the drivers side frame rail just in front of the cab mount.

7507 in the drawing

Yeah! I get to be the first to label the first photo. They are the radiator to rad support tabs.

I was gonna post this, until I noticed that the pin for the bushing is offset in the OP's pic.

Thanks a bunch! Especially for the diagram.

As for the first photo, I am thinking Transmission Mount? I just can't figure it out. Hopefully somebody will know.' Thanks again.

What are you working on (1966 F100: engine size, trans type, 2WD/4WD)? The first pic looks nothing like any trans mount.

Offset about like this possibly, or maybe just an optical illusion?

If I am wrong in post #5 above then my second guess is the bracket that connects the inner fender to the rad support. I know I have seen these parts or similar somewhere before...

I know there was some variation on these trucks but let's compare notes at least. In response to post #5 - on all of my trucks the radiator to core support uses J/nuts on the core support with a square captured nut and I know that at least some others have/had the same since they were kind enough to send me theirs when they went to a custom solution. The bolts all have a number "23" on the top and have the captured external toothed washers. Anybody else see something different on their truck(s)?

If you look close at the bend on the lower right J-nut in this group it has a crack where it is just about to break. Seems to be the common failure point on these.

Those brackets look like part of a transmission mount for a C6 out of an early 70's Lincoln or T-Bird. I had one here but I can't find it right now. I think it is outside and it's 10 degrees out there and I'm staying in here by the coal stove.

I might be confusing myself with the 60-66 ChevGMC truck line as I worked on those in the 90's as well. My latest guess may be the front bumper mounts area. I just feel like I have seen something close to these before.
