Rear Barn Door Strap
First, new to the excursion world, just bought an 04 2WD Limited with the v10 which is the engine I wanted. No stranger to Fords. Drove an 03 super crew with 354k miles till the insurance totaled it. Bought an 03 shamu Harley Davidson to replace that.. anyway if I HAD to sell one, I would keep the X. Love it! What is the strap or cable called that keeps the barn doors from swinging out too far? Can’t find an image or the correct term for it and would like to add them back. Missing for some reason. Replaced the rear window struts and had no idea the lift gate was so heavy. You guys rock with info and so far haven’t slammed me for asking a dumb question

I actually typically keep mine disconnected because I like the doors to swing wide. It's almost as cool as the second row headrest storage points in the seat bottoms!

well what do you know, low and behold there it is. 👍 asking this question was almost as bad as asking what the boot was when I was told to change the plugs and boots. Shoulda realized it as much as I had to chg number 3 and 4 in my 5.4. Thx guys
