Washing the truck today found this piece of metal laying in the small drain area beneath windshield wipers. Looks similar to a small engine flywheel key but I thought I saw something similar on FTE about this possibly being something used when assembling the truck (windshield wiper shafts???) and only used during manufacturing. Couldn't find that post so does anybody know what this is? Wipers work fine and can't figure out where this would fit in.
If I remember correctly, they are alignment pieces used to install the wipers on the assembly line. Nothing to worry about. Others will chime in to confirm.

Ahhh thanks....that sounds like what I remembered reading on an older post. Wherever they are installed it took 22k miles for it to fall out.
