have a 302 in my truck with a bad oil pan been brazed up some time and the dip stick is very hard to pull out and put in pulled the motor out to work on headers but want to find a different pan but having a hard time the dipstick goes into the pan

The 1981-1984 302 truck motors had an oil pan that the dip stick went straight into, but that was on the drivers side. To me, it looks like someone made up the dipstick access on the pan on your truck. Regardless, you might look for the 302 truck oil pan with the sump in the rear and the dipstick access in the side of the pan. They are plentiful on ebay as long as you don't mind aftermarket and don't mind having the tube on the opposite side.
