RV trailer disc brake conversion
RV trailer disc brake conversion
Has anyone converted their travel trailer from electric drum to electric-over-hydraulic disc brakes? I have a 30 foot tandem axle trailer. Hate electric brakes. I have found 2 vendors so far who have a conversion kit ranging from $1425 to $1675. One guy I talked to said he did his conversion in his campsite in half a day after a grease seal blew on his very large trailer, took out the drums on one side and scared the crap out of him. I consider myself pretty good at DIY but any advice from others who have done this would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Never have done an electric over hydraulic install or pulled a trailer with them but as many kits as they have now it shouldn't be too hard I wouldn't think. You can install and wire electric brakes in a few hours. I would guess you'll have hubs, an actuator, a reservoir, and a little wiring. Mounting the reservoir and the actuator would probably be the worst parts
