Just a quick ping because my tank is leaking from this seal since I have been playing with my fuels system so much. Last time I purchased the lock ring and seal from an auto parts place that fit something else- just to get the o-ring- IT was $25.00 and I was impatient. This time I would like not spend so much, just a seeing if there is another source or idea on sealing these up.

Personally, I have gotten away from using the factory rubber seal. Just put a good bead of silicone gasket maker in the valley on the tank, install the sender and locking ring and let it sit overnight.
If you want to use the rubber seal, you gotta tell me what you have.
That being said, this gasket fits just about everything Ford made after 1960
