I am thinking a Transmission is in my future. i have a 2003 Ford SD F-350 SRW with a 6.0 diesel 5R110W Transmission with 129XXX miles I am interested in the longevity and reliability of the truck which I guess every one is
Any suggestions on which one to go with ATS, Ford remanufactured ect
mods are
EGR Delete
Cat delete with 4in exhaust
Blue spring fuel upgrade
80 hp Atlas ficm tune from Ficm repair
I am running a dash boss gauges with EGT and fuel pressure gauges
aside from the 80hp atlas tune its stock
I may add a tuner an SCT not for crazy hp but just for some of the benefit they offer Tow tune and and so forth
I don't plan to do any other HP upgrades
I'm happy with how the truck runs and tows

I tow pretty heavy 14,000 lbs 5th wheel camper
I live in Missouri so no mountain towing but would like to travel out west some day

I was thinking of going with the ford remanufactured transmission. Because the warranty and ease of warranty work
Would the ford transmission be a good choice?
or would a transmission that was built for towing heavy be a better option? like an ATS stage 2 ect.

I searched the forums and only found a few post asking which transmission to go with and that guy was running 600+ HP
someone recommended a red diamond transmission ? other than that there wasn't a lot of information that i found
so if this is something that has been discussed at length ... I apologize in advance

But can anyone help a guy out ?
