carb replacement for a 360
my carb is done, it got dropped while being rebuilt and the jb welded the inlet back on, it hasnt run good since. It leaks and the choke is non working and it is starting to get cold in the mornings and i leave for work at 6 am. So i need to replace this thing. I am carb dumb. I know it is a 2 barrel and probley not original. I just want a good carb for daily driving, nothing fast no power boost needed. nothing special. Just a good carb. I have a 1970 f-250 camper special with a 360 was rebilut a few years ago. C6 tranny automatic. everything is basicly stock. I perfer an electric choke or a manual choke, none of that heat riser vacume stuff. I have dual exhaust with stock manifolds. look at gallery if you wish, it is pictured there. I just want a good carb for not a whole lot of cash that will make my daily drive to and from work a little less like rolling the dice. Thanks in advance for anything you may tell me.

If you have the PCV spacer plate, and it is an earlier engine, the Autolite 2100 will probably work. If your PCV dumps into the carb itself, then the Autolite 2150 would be a replacement. Either of these can be purchased rebuilt for $126-135 at Advance Auto. These are also usually "out of the box carbs" and can be up and running with only idle adjustments. The Holley 2300 2bbl can be used, but you will have to custom "tune" it which can be more difficult.
