I was driving today, and today has been one of the coldest days in MI and my truck was idleing down to like 600, and you could hear my furl pump(after market), lights, and int lights dime, and the VOLT meter dropped to like 13.
Anyone have any ideas on why this would happen?
ALSO... how hard is it to convert to a 3U? I have a 2U 85A one and want to convert to like a 160 3U.
Check for good solid connections at the battery and the alt. Cold weather causes everything to contract and a weak connection suddenly plunged into the cold can become intermittant or weak.
Not certain on the conversion but I do know that swapping to that high an amperage on the alternator will necessitate changing from a volt meter to an ammeter which personally would be preferred.
Well actually I just got a new battery, like 3 days ago.
Its the best Diehard you can get, "Diehard Gold" Its was like 90 bucks in MI, and honestly i would buy this battery 10x over. Mine crapped out, so I prerated it and got 30 bucks for it. Its a great battery if anyone was wondering.
