Hey guys to all who has read my post they know the trouble I’ve been having with my f150 I was getting random misfire codes With some p0420 and p0420.
My misfire codes where p0300 p0304 p0304. Truck has had new plugs boots and cops. I would go to stop at a red light The truck would idle and shake like crazy.
Days went by and no change.
so here’s what I did .
I pulled and checked every connectors
used a air compressor to blow out debris
sprayed throttle body cleaner around intake and blower all debris out again.
used contact cleaner to clean each plug.
i found cam shaft position sensor wasn’t connecting very good.
Took the sensor loose cleaned it inspected the plug. Found the orange o ring (if u will that acts as a weather guard I guess ) was out of shape.
Sobi cleaned it and mad sure the connection was tight and secure. Double checked all. And checked again.
Took the contact cleaner and sprayed every connectors I saw.
Last I put a bottle of Techron in the fuel. as some one on here mentioned to do.
2 days now and now misfire or shake at idle. 🙏
