I am missing some of the door panel access screws on my 1952 F-1.Can these be purchased at the neighborhood hardware? My problem is a lot of the screw holes are stripped out.I realize I can just get bigger screws but with bigger heads??What is the best way to go about resolving this problem.I was hoping to go with stainless screws at some point.

I do not like the ones MidFifty sells. They are not like the originals, for the 53 to 56 anyhow..... So I went to the local Fastenal store and got stainless screws.
If holes are wallowed out, can a coating of Locktite keep them in place?
I just seen where Roy Nacewicz sells the kits.To bad you cant get over sized threads or metric so they will tighten up.Yea I thought maybe I could use JB Weld or something and drill out for screw.I don't think you can use a clip like on 66 ford trucks?

You could likely place a dolly over the hole and hammer from inside the door to tighten up the hole so the screw tightens better..
if you want a permanent fix lots better than Henry offered.... drill out the holes and insert rivet-nuts then fasten the panel with pan head (low profile head) screws. Bam !
If you're gonna do it, do it right! Lowes, Ace and many other carry chrome screws that work just fine. Buy a complete set for both doors and some clip nuts to go behind them and you'll not only be in good shape, but look good too. If you don't want the bling, they carry blacked out screws too.

The stainless screws I got at Fastenal look real good and near original and not too blingy.
Old thread but I did I think fix and quiet down those rattling inspection plates on doors.I put some JB weld in the screw holes and drilled out.I got some tool chest liner and installed on back of plate. This seemed to quieten everything down and door seems more solid. If your inspection plates were like mine all you had to do was tap on them and they sound like a tin can!I used 3M adhesive spray in the center for extra hold.Just thought I would pass this along.
