4x4 hub.
Just got back from the snow. Used the 4 wheel drive for first time on my truck. When I turned the hub locks from locked to auto, air bubbles came from the ford emblem in the middle of the **** then stopped after a few seconds. Is this normal? Thanks

Normally, shifting the switch inside the cab from 4x4 to 2 WD causes the vacuum to pulse the hub for 20-30 seconds to either lock or unlock the hub when it's in auto. Moving it manually just spins the engaging center section. Maybe it's full of grease or water and it pushed out the air? Might mean the seals are good as well. Check them, takes 5 minutes to do both. Turning the hub doesn't pulse the vacuum.
