Can any please help me decode warranty tag, rearend and engine tags?

If you look for my 65/66 restoration guide in a previous post you will find all the information to decode the warranty tag. The rear axle tag is for a 28 spline 3.25:1 open Ford 9". The engine tag is for a 1966 model 352, change level 6. The date code 5L is November 1965 which agrees with the VIN 779287 which places the build date for the truck in November 1965 also. 291 S is the engine code for a 2 BBL 352.

 

F10 = F100 2WD

Y = 352 2V

K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant.

779287 = 1966.

129" Wheelbase.

M = Wimbledon White.

F100 2WD, 5000 lbs. GVWR

281: 2 = Medium Blue Crinkle Vinyl & Medium Blue Wicker Pattern Vinyl / 81 = 81A Standard Cab.

C = Ford type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Synchromesh Transmission.

17 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.25-1 / 3,300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity / AXLE code on ID tag: WDM-H

5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

172 net HP @ 4,000 RPM

64 = New Orleans LA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
