From reading on FTE I understand that Ford no longer provides a reducer sleeve from 2-1/2" to 2"...I am okay with that, I am looking for one out there that is of good quality. I started with the Curt 45405, Curt products are supposed to be made in USA, high quality, etc. Reading reviews for this adapter on Amazon, however, (and I assume the variable is the vehicle's receiver) it seems that the way it fits is all over the place...some require grinding, others stick out an inch, others stick out one-eighth inch, so, my question, when using an adapter with a 2019 f350 (or any 2017+ Super Duty) what is working for you? I would like to hear about the Curt 45405 in particular as it has two semi-circular protrusions to serve as stops (the lack of stops has been complained-about frequently in these threads)...and do I need to worry about the length of the adapter and the placement of the pin hole? ...or do these two dimensions follow industry standards...manufacturer name and part number would be appreciated, thank you.
I appreciate it, FDNYL136, but with shipping I can probably pick one up...I saw one on Amazon, a Rigid Hitch RH-252C [made in USA] with a tack-welded outer frame to serve as a stop, not a lot of reviews, but good ones, most notably some rattling (that's better than having to hammer-it-in as some have mentioned in other reviews) and a bit of pin hole misalignment (either their receiver or easily solved with a round file)...I may go with that, once my truck arrives and I confirm needing one...thanks again.
I bought this for $9,95 (look at the list of other sellers on the webpage) shipped to my door. Not having the outer lip is not a big deal to me. It fits easily and holes line up. No rattle.
I went the other way and upgraded both of my shanks to 2 1/2 inch. I needed a lower shank for my WD system for my TT anyway and a lower drop shank for my boat and utility trailers as well due to the substantial height difference in this truck and my previous one. Mine came with the reducer but its now a paperweight.

I also upgraded the shank to 2 1/2 inches for WD system for my TT. The amount of movement using the adapter was unacceptable. I kept the adapter for my 2" tow bar for my utility trailer, but I generally use another truck for towing my utility trailer.
