Because it has a TRANSFER case !

 

I would be very careful. There may be time limits on four down flat tow. I've heard that some vehicles can only be towed this way for set time limits and then you need to perform some other task to be able to keep going down the road.

 

That actually surprises me, i know on my 2015 F-150 there isn't a neutral position for the transfer case.

Just got my Ranger 4X4 and getting the tow plate installed.

Looking for anyone who has actually towed a Ranger behind a motor home.

 

Download the owners manual from Ford. That should give you the info you seek...

 

I have done so and read it. I am looking for viewpoints and advice from those that have actually done it-stuff that is not in the manual.

 

The Ford Towing Guide says that only the 4x4 Ranger can be towed 4 wheels down. No mileage limits. No speed limits.

 

This isn't new all the transfer cases back to 2015 can do flat tow all four down. Just put the t case in neutral, there is a sequence to follow. Neutral is not shown on the dial.
