A few years back Carpenter and other vendors were allowed to start posting their reproduction/aftermarket parts on both Rearcounter and Partsvoice so if you want original NOS make sure they are. Some of the vendors will tell you right up front if you call and all they have is aftermarket.

Dennis Carpenter shows 1,008 on Rearcounter and 1,018 on Partsvoice right now. Those are not going to be NOS. I suspect the same with the hood hinges. Some vendors will be NOS, but buyer beware once again.

Carpenter made a deal with FoMoCo, can buy parts direct from them that FoMoCo plans to obsolete.
For example, the C9TZ-13341-C T/S switch used on misc. 1965/69's. It was available from Ford, then obsoleted several years ago.
Within a month Carpenter had over 4,000 and now has 3,497. So, are these genuine Ford or repro's?
The hood hinges were also available from Ford, then obsoleted. They were also VERY expensive, with one side having a MSRP of $900.00!!!

Been ordering parts thru DC over past few months and although listed under NOS # they are reproduction and imported. Also ordered Motor Craft voltage regulator and the packaging indicated item is made in China and found the male pins on the regulator were slightly smaller than the female connector on the harness, I have to use electrical tape to secure harness to the regulator. Beginning to see item listed as'Made in USA or may be Imported'??
Purchase hood hinges thru MAC'S several months ago with no complaints, pleased with quality and fitment.
