You 2 will be happy to know that the Auxiliary Shaft drives both the Oil Pump; meshing w/ the gears + Mechanical Fuel Pump; riding on the eccentric >(on carburated models only!)
I too have a 2.3L ~4 banger myself!

Murdocks91Ranger Does the oil pump on a 91 2.3L run off the auxiliary shaft? If not what drives the oil pump?
