Leaf Spring Help Needed!

Just finished rebuilding the lead springs on my ‘66 bump side and installed the 8.8 axle flipped. Now the axle center is missing the bump stop by about 3” to the rear. Is it possible that installed the newly rebuilt leaf springs backwards? The way they are installed right now is with the standard spring eye to the front and the center spring eye to the rear. Is this correct?

Get the tape measure out and measure the springs.

If you have a 1966 bump side then that’s the problem.

My thought is 3" is a lot. With that in mind when my buddy and I flipped mine we "C" notch the frame and added new bumps. We raised the diff to get an idea of where to mount them. Now to my point, my buddy said as the diff goes up it will move slightly towards the rear.

Is it possible that with the flip you need to relocate them?
