Ford pickups - jacks

When did Ford pickups come equipped with a jack? I remember as a young boy that my dad’s 1951 F1 had a jack, but I don’t know if it came with truck. He purchased the truck in 1951 and I was born in 1951. I remember that it looked something like the one pictured with this post. The one pictured here was part of an immense array of junk and trash included with a Sheriff’s sale house I purchased for the storage garage that came with the house. Can anyone tell if this might be a Ford jack? The only mark I can find on it is the letter ‘A’. This one works well and I thought it might work well with my ‘56 F100. (It actually works better than the cheap, Asian, hydraulic jack that I purchased for it.)

I would also like to wish with everyone on FTE a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I wish you good health and much happiness for the year ahead.

My grandfathers 49 F1 had a jack just like that one, it was stored behind the passenger side seat and held in place with a thumb screw..... the handle was in the tool tray behind the seat.
Merry Christmas!

That jack looks the same as the one in my '06 Chevy, my '07 Chevy and my'18 Chevy. They don't work well.

That fist one pictured looks a lot like the jacks that came with the 60's Dodge vans that used a folding handle so you could screw the jack when it was under and you where outside standing.

That second one is made for trucks that had A arms. That hook hooks under the front lip of the A arm because the jack is too tall to fit under it.
Don't remember what I have seen them on.

Does anybody have a good picture of what the 2-piece handle looked like? In case I run across one someday.

Lin Stacey, the Tool Advisor to the Early Ford V8 Club, has created the go-to reference. He also sells complete kits for those who may be interested. He can be contacted through the Club. This pic shows the 1948 -early 1949 jack.
