When did Ford pickups come equipped with a jack? I remember as a young boy that my dad’s 1951 F1 had a jack, but I don’t know if it came with truck. He purchased the truck in 1951 and I was born in 1951. I remember that it looked something like the one pictured with this post. The one pictured here was part of an immense array of junk and trash included with a Sheriff’s sale house I purchased for the storage garage that came with the house. Can anyone tell if this might be a Ford jack? The only mark I can find on it is the letter ‘A’. This one works well and I thought it might work well with my ‘56 F100. (It actually works better than the cheap, Asian, hydraulic jack that I purchased for it.)
I would also like to wish with everyone on FTE a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I wish you good health and much happiness for the year ahead.

My grandfathers 49 F1 had a jack just like that one, it was stored behind the passenger side seat and held in place with a thumb screw..... the handle was in the tool tray behind the seat.
Merry Christmas!
That fist one pictured looks a lot like the jacks that came with the 60's Dodge vans that used a folding handle so you could screw the jack when it was under and you where outside standing.
That second one is made for trucks that had A arms. That hook hooks under the front lip of the A arm because the jack is too tall to fit under it.
Don't remember what I have seen them on.
