I have been struggling to keep the 08 Limited running for the last few years and had sunk a ton of money in it in that time frame and it had become increasingly unreliable. I had planned to try to get the ABS module replaced at a cost of $1600 and replace one of the exhaust manifolds to get the engine light off so I could sell it for a couple of bucks. Well it ended up in an accident so I took the insurance money and sold what was left so I will no longer be driving or owning an Expedition. It was really a bit bigger than what I need with all my kids grown now anyway. So I took what I got from the sale and insurance and put a down payment on a Honda Pilot a better fit for what we need.
I want to thank all of the contributors that helped me through so many repairs and troubleshoots over the last 9 years. Owning that machine would have been impossible without the help of this forum. I wish you all well.
How many miles were you able to get out of your truck?
Good luck to you with the honda, it should last you quite a long time, i'm still driving a 98 accord with 199k on it

Had 94,500 when it went to auction. And no, I will not be buying a newer one. It is too big and expensive to run for my needs. The Pilot has almost as much room inside and can tow 5000 which is 2000 more than I tow with my landscape trailer.
We have the same SUV. 150k and over the last two years it appears to be committing a slow painful suicide! We also have a '07 Ridgeline with over 200k on it and it hasn't had the magnitude of issues my Expd has... Dealer offered me $1,500 to trade in for a new $65,000 2018 replacement- ha ha ha ha Just bought a new Honda Accord Touring. No need for the behemoth anymore- kids all have their own vehicles. I'm out!
