What is everybody getting for fuel mileage? In town 03 Eddie Bauer with a 5.4 only gets between 10.6-11.2 mpg in town. When my mom bought this thing new, I want to say she was getting around 13 mpg in town. Pen to paper it's real close to what the display says. I've put plugs, coils, air filter, fuel filter, and drive this thing like a grandma. On the highway I know it use to get around 17.5 mpg. Now it's doing good at 16 mpg. Just rolled 89,000 miles. Runs good, and smooth.
I get about 15 around town and 18 on the highway if I keep the speed below 70 mph. I run about 40 psi on the tires and wash it regularly and make sure it's got a good coat of wax on it to lessen the wind drag. With aerodynamics like a refridgerator, keeping it clean and waxed seems to help a lot. Just clicked over 200k miles on mine....

I get very similar mileage in my same truck with 150k miles. My Expy has a lift and slightly oversized tires. I'll say my driving style is spirited. Almost all in town driving. Occasional highway, but the highway mileage isn't much better because it's at 80-85.

That's awesome, I've had my Expy since 1 year old and I don't recall it ever getting mileage that good.
Just took my '04 5.4 on a medium distance road trip. Both fill ups checked in at 16.5 (all highway with no aggressive driving and speeds from 60 to 70 mph)

I have my tires aired to 40psi. I took them up from 35psi and haven't noticed any different in fuel mileage.

I drive mine like a grandma and it only does that good with stock sized tires. BF Goodrich All terrains.
I have to be missing something. I don't know if the computer is getting a false reading from something or what.
My 06 Navigator gets around 9-10mpg city, and 14-16mpg hwy, 7mpg Hwy when towing my trailer. It’s rated for better, but I’m a little aggressive with it, but it’s not bad for the size and weight of it.
