hey guys, i just made a road trip sat-sun from iberia, missouri to fort valley, georgia. i was pleased to get and average of 14.5 mpg. i drove approx. 1200 miles and drove 80-90 the whole trip. im sure that i could have seen 15+mpg if id have kept it round 70-75.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Jul-02 AT 11:33 AM (EST)]I'm so stoked I just had to reply to this.
I just returned from a road trip and did the calculations, I averaged 15.8mpg (~18.5 miles per US gal) when driving 65-70 mph and 12.1mpg (13.5 miles per US gallon) when driving around 80mph. This is the best I've ever got, as I usually averaged about 11-12mpg previously. Now that the truck has about 6000 miles on it, she's really loosened up. More power, and thank heaven, more mpg's!
The truck was empty, and roads really flat, but lots of passing. I LOVE the V10 passing power. I LOVE this truck!
Yup...that's good fer a gaser! Only 1100 miles on my PSD and get'n 18.1 mpg (U.S. gallons) with a mixture of city and highway driving! I was lucky if I saw 13 mpg with my '00 expy/5.4. Can't wait to see what it'll get on a highway trip.
