Thanks guys! Slowly but surely. Gonna pick up the rest of the pieces tomorrow. The paint reacted funny with the hardener or something so the reflector bowls had to be completely stripped and re done lol. Cant wait to get these things put back together now. Of course i forgot to order retro butyl so i gotta wait on that to re seal them anyways.

Black behind the amber lens is such a perfect combo IMO.

Retrofitting never goes how you plan it! It's the battle that makes the final product so much more satisfying!!!

Are you going to add any silica packets to reduce humidity in the light? I added these on my '06 lights and never had an issue. If nothing else it was good peace of mind. 100% did not want to have to go back into those things.

thats not a bad idea....i was thinking of that earlier too. Tape a packet somewhere behind the bowls. The nice thing about butyl, just a heat gun and pry and it comes apart.

Here’s the ones I used. They’re pretty large so I think 1 in each light would be fine. Yea the butyl rubber makes it way easier, but the whole process is just a PITA in general. Haha

Here's a pack of 30 10g (same size as TRS) packets for 8.99 with free shipping. I know you only need a couple but the price is way better.

Not bad for a garage build...bolted the LED and projector up real quick to take a look. I'm excited.
