go to glass shop and get them to drill at the end of the crack, that should stop it and not cost very much

It's my understanding that windshields are "required" to be covered by the insurance companies. You may want to check into that and just get it replaced. I don't believe they're even allowed to increase your rates for the replacement.

Might be something to check into. Call your local glass shop. They should be able to tell you the ins. coverage in your area.

If it's not covered, the drilling will stop the crack from spreading.
