Does anyone know a source that sells replacement sheet metal door parts? I am looking for a replacement sheet metal section for the bottom of the inside drivers door. Mine is all rusted out. I can find '67 and up, or '53 thru'56, but nothing for my '64.
I need that part too. It may be easier in the long run to just replace the whole door.
I'm planning keeping the natural patina on my truck and if prefer to fix the inside of the door. If hate put a different color door on the truck. The chances of finding another one in better condition in the same factory red as mine are probably really slim.
**Have you ever looked at a Bumpside door to comepare the inner structure? May be similar, may not, but worth checking out.
If you can't locate a decent donor door in California to harvest the needed section from, there's a problem

Bill, I haven't looked for a replacement door at this point as I'd really like to fix my original door since the original VIN tag is riveted to it. I was just surprised that many companies make those same replacement panels for '53-'56 & '67 and up, but not '61-'66. If I can't find a company that makes the replacement panel, I will look for a factory red door. If I can't find a correct color door, then I'll just get a salvage door of any color Bill, and cut what I need out of it to fix my door. I am located in the central valley south of Sacramento.
Hey SixtyFour, I got that. Knowing that they're BIG trucks, I might find one at a place I know of that has a few of them all in red. They're retired fire trucks! I'll go this weekend and check out if they have a '67-'69. Thank you Bill.

The simple reason there are no patch panels is the doors are still too cheap and plentiful!
Around these parts I have seen many many doors for 100.00 and less in very nice rust free dent free condition. A bit tweaked door with good bottom can be 20-40.00
I just passed a pair of Uni doors for 50 for the pair. zero rust but a few bruises that were repairable.
Many doors out there so you will need to decide if you want to keep your patina door you will have to bite the bullet and get a decent door to cut piece from should be pretty doable for 50.00 or less.
