choke wiring
Hello. Mine is a Carter AFB on a 390, 1973 F250. I don't know how much of the motor was original to this vehicle. The wires have been intensely messed with. I have been studying some posts on here related to choke wiring and I have learned that there should be one hot wire to the choke. Mine has 2. One is from a little black box on the alternator and shows 4.3 volts with the engine running. The other wire shows 13.5 volts. This being (I imagine) an aftermarket choke, it seems there should be only the one wire hooked up, and that the 13.5 one.
My plan is to unhook the stator wire and put a ground wire on that spade clip. Does this sound like a good step?
