Radiator support

My radiator support needs replaced. Can anyone tell me the difference between a gas radiator support and a diesel radiator support.

It was so rusted out that it wasn’t holding everything. I have one ordered but when I go to pick up I just wanna be able to tell which one they have. They told me that they ordered one for diesel

You are going to be unhappy unless it is a used one

That’s great to know. Where did you get it from? Several places claim the have the right one but it is for a gasser instead of a diesel. Any pics?

the difference is the size of the hole for the radiator. diesel is a lot bigger. if you look at the pictures in the ads, the difference is clearly visible,
this is a diesel support:

this is a gas support:

Core support

gasser core support

gasser support with stock lower hoop
I bought a gasser core support spent some time drilling out the spot welds, and adding my stock lower hoop , it actually turned out and fit really well.

the rad support in both trucks have broken, several times on the top cross rail. I just weld them up. The one in old grey has a piece of angle iron welded to the top cross rail cuz it broke a few times. Seems to be holding good now
