Is this a big problem
i am about to buy and85 f-150 4x4 4 speed w/a 302.........it is at the ford dealership ...they say dnt want to mess with it and aint gonna put any money into it....they only want 1400 and evrything is perfect on it ...and it runs great.....but when you drive it the front axle makes a noise.....the guy said he doesnt know what it is but he said it may be something with the front axle...then he go under the truck and grabbed the right axle and he could turn it back and forth ....like something was stripped out..he said someone said it could be the spindle.....does any one know what this could be and how much it would cost to fix...thanks

I dont know if this is relevant or not , but I owned a 1978 ford 4x4 and broke a front axle and you could spin it however you wanted. Luckily it broke from the u joint out so I was able to get a new u joint and picked up the short axle from a salvage yard for a 6 pack and it was good as new
