Looking for information
I have a 2001 Ford f250 super duty V10 6.8L and the bellhousing on my transmission cracked I'm looking for another transmission I know I have the 4R100 I'm trying to figure out if I can use one from a diesel 7.3 l or if it has to be the V10 6.8 liter transmission only any advice would be helpful to know better what's going on with this

It MUST be from a 6.8L V10. The trans on a 7.3L has a different bolt pattern and will not bolt to your engine. A trans from a 5,4L will bolt right up, but it is a lighter duty 4R100 and it won't last long at all behind a 6.8L.Make sure it is a 4x4 if yours is a 4x4,and a 4x2 if yours is a 4x2.
