Rear Window Key Question

Hey Folks!

I just picked up a 96 Bronco and my ignition key does not work in the back window. I'm I wrong in thinking that one key does all? I had a 79 and a 93 years ago and I can't for the life of me remember if I had a so call trunk key for the back window. The only reason I say trunk key is because the opening notch is different then the key.

Can someone set me straight?

Thanks....Tom

The ignition key should be the same for the driver's and passenger's locks. The tailgate key is different, with a rounded head on the key.

Ok that's what I thought. Guess I'll pull the lock and have a key made.

Thanks for the help!!

Just in case you have not already seen this information, here is a link to one of the best tailgate tech sites.

About half way down the page is a picture of the tailgate lock cylinder.
