iac issue
2001 Expedition 5.4. IAC is dead. Top bolt out no problem. Bottom bolt stripped. Can't remove TB because left rear bolt runs into firewall long before it vacate's the manifold. Any ideas would be helpful it if you can lend a hand in SE Portland Oregon. Truck belongs to a friend. Him and his wife daily it for work. Only vehicle. I'm a truckerbso Ibhave very little time to muck with it

Do you have a Sawzall or a long cold chisel & hammer you can cut the head off the bolt, get the IAC off and then finish removing the remnants of the bolt with a pair of ViseGrips ? It shouldn't be that tight unless somebody cross threaded it.

Sadly we have none of those tools. Even if we did they wouldn't fit. ThebIAC is basically up under the dash. Very poor design. I'd like to meet the designer and give him a size 13 boot in his ***.
