Pulled the locking hub apart and looks like my assumption was correct. All the needle bearings are gone. I’m lucky they didn’t ruin my wheel hub and axle shaft. Now to find a replacement bearing or get a new locking hub.
Below is a list of everything I ended up doing:
- Replaced the passenger side axle joint since it was broken
- New axle dust seal, big knuckle seal, and hub oring
- Pressed in a new bearing where the axle shaft sits in the hub. Bearing # is 6009-2RS-JEM
- Greased the wheel bearing through the abs hole
- Replaced locking hub since the bearing was destroyed in the old one
- After all was done went to the driver side and greased the ujoint through the zerk fitting and pulled the caliper off to grease the wheel bearing through the abs hole.
