.I'm not sure what exactly was going on with it, it did have the pigtail harness with the two fuses in it and that was connected to the sensor but that pigtail harness was not connected to the vehicle harness. The whole thing is kind of weird. Whenever I do get this all sorted out I am going to install a new harness and sensor just to be on the safe side.

To those that had subscribed, or want to know what fixed this...here's everything.
First, replaced the connector at the PRNDL switch, there were only 2 wires that hadn't broken away. Now I have reverse lights, yay.
-no cruise-
Next I bought a used column for a few items to replace in mine, I used the multi function switch(signals wouldn't cancel), ignition switch (keyed portion because someone installed a used one extremely poorly, seemed like they may have beaten it in with a hammer as the oly way I could remove it was to actually drill it out) and the clock spring (old one had a squeak).
-no cruise-
Abs light came on, replaced wheel speed sensor.
-no cruise-).
Did the cruise control test, cruise bulb never came on.
Later I found that the brake pressure switch (on master) was not plugged in and the harness (the updated with the fuses in it) was plugged in a dummy plug on the harness elsewhere. I removed the updated harness and found the plug (that would go to the pressure switch) had one wire frayed and disconnected. I cut the plug off, twisted the wires together then tried the cruse control test again with no luck, no bulb etc.
At this point I did NOT drive the truck, figured why bother, it failed the cc test.
Later I found the bulb test, tried it, no luck, all bulbs except cruise and turn signals came on.
Drove the truck to work, 4 weeks later I am home and back on it with a new idea, twist the wires together for the brake pressure switch and drive it. F it, can't hurt right?
Well I now have cruise and the cruise light works.
I don't have a clue why the cc light never came on for the 2 tests, but to say the least it was aggravating.

My cruise quit working when the solenoid pack in the transmission was leaking. I tried everything…then the TC went out and I had everything rebuilt. The shop said there was a slight leak at the solenoid. Well, after the repair the CC works fine.

I would guess that it was something that they inadvertently manipulated while doing the repair, either way it's nice to have a bonus repair.
