Odd tools and common problems?

Odd tools and common problems?
Hey everyone!
We purchased a 2011 Expedition XLT about a year ago and so far its been great!
I was getting ready to replace the rear brakes on it and quickly found that I needed a 7mm allen head socket to get the caliper off. That's a pretty odd size so I had to order one. After some reading, I think the front must require a 9mm allen head, so I ordered it too.
Which brings me to the first part of my question... are there any other "odd" tools that I'll need to do normal maintenance on these things?
Next, how about common issues? I come from the SD forum, and I'm familiar with the common problems they have such as COP failures, manifold studs, etc. Are there any issues like that with these? I know about the stuck spark plug issue but I think that's been fixed by the 2011 MY. How about COPs? I don't read too much about it on this forum, but it was a common problem on the SD's.
Thanks in advance!
Jason

shouldn't have had to pull the heads. They make a tool to extract the broken plug and it should be able to be completely removed while heads are on the truck

Harbor Freight has a set of allen wrenches that worked for me, which includes 9mm. Had to use combo wrench as a cheater for torque to break them loose and tighten again.
Their item # is 62173. Cost: $5.99. URL:

It's amazing that the 9mm allen is oddly missing from most sets and auto parts stores. Total brake conspiracy.
