78 f100 stalling out

Hey fellas, I have a 78 f100 with 300 inline 6. Its started randomly stalling out at higher speeds then a few seconds later it jumps back to life. I've changed the fuel pump, blew through the lines, and checked the filter. I've also replaced the cap, rotor, pmugs and wires. I replaced the carb about a year ago. Also recently I had to replace the old composite cam gear due to about half the teeth shearing off. Appreciate the help

Welcome to FTE.
78 think has electronic IGN, you have a square box on the fender well with 2 wire plugs out of it?
Where the wires come out note the color of the wire holder, most are blue.

If so it could be going bad. So times they start going bad like ours. Other times it will cut off all together and will not restart for 15 to 30 min when it cools off.
The easy one it will cut off and not restart and when checking you have no spark.
It could as be the pick up coil (PIP) inside the dist.
