Suspention Question
I got my hands on a set of 2012 F350 super duty XL front coils and rear leaf springs
My question is - how much trouble, or what is the process for mounting them on Big Red 73 F250 Camper special
I've been searching the threads but all I keep finding are one talking about adapting them to the front not the rear and nothing on front coil springs
From my reading (and correct me if I'm wrong) I understand that I need to -
1 - shave the front bushing on either side to fit in frame mount.
2 - get a longer shackle ( so the pinion angle isn't affected, I'm surmising)
3 - drill the rear frame hole larger for the bolt
It seems pretty direct, but I have that weird feeling I'm missing something in the big picture
What are your thoughts?
The answer was in front of my face

Since the main leaf on the super duty springs is what is forcing me to modify and adapt stuff
I'm going to reuse the original main leaf off of Big Red and restack the leaves off of the super duty set onto it
I might have to add one or two extra leaves to make up for the newer super duty leaf (I'm assuming the Original main leaf is weaker than the super duty main leaf)
I will do the math after I get the sets together, measure them and then run the numbers thought the calculator
