2011 Expedition Limited here. Last week on the way home from work, the truck started having a rough idle in traffic. The next morning the problem went away and did not come back until this morning on my way in. Its a rough idle coupled with a some slight surging. While the check engine light never came on, my scan tool noted some "pending codes" which are in the subject line. Upon further research, it seems these have to do with the o2 sensors? Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction here.
The 09-10 F-150 trucks had the same issue which turned out to be a software problem that was address with TSB 12-6-16. I know yours is a 2011 but it's close enough to consider it a possibility. I'd check with your local dealer to see if this might apply to your vehicle. The TSB is attached.
