The Tool Thread

Couldn't agree more. The most used tool in my garage. After 2 years of grinding mine finally quit and started smoking. Took it to my local HF and said it started smoking..they just swapped it out for a new one for me (yes they knew it was well outside of warranty). Now running this one for a few months.

I picked up this cheap bore camera on Amazon for less than $20. It connects to a phone or computer by creating a WiFi signal. The resolution isn't all that great, and the in-focus range is tiny, but it cost less than $20. It will do what I needed it to do.
The first picture is the device. The second is the inside of a pencil sharpener. The third is the inside of a turbo muffler. It shows the short in-focus range. The last is a valve spring inside a complete flathead engine.

That thing is a work horse. It’s from the ‘70s and has been seriously abused but keeps on kicking. I’ve only had it calibrated once, and it was good.
it was caught in that picture because I had it out testing the connections I made on my instrument cluster wiring. They were all good.
