Need help identifying part

Hey everyone, new to the forums after picking up a 97 250 HD with the 351. Previous owner has obviously done some modifications under the hood and I’m trying to identify what this may be (circled).

Possibly part of the fuel/ignition? I’m not seeing it in the repair manual I picked up from AutoZone.

Any my thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

I’ve been told it’s an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator.

Definitely an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. It doesn't resemble anything on our propane forklift, but I suppose it could be left over from a propane conversion.

I also question the effectiveness of that regulator. I do not see the vacuum line connected to it, only a cap.

Can you post another photo or two showing more of the engine bay? I am Looking for more unnecessary mods from the previous owners.
