Is anyone willing to share their costs to install a 2.5" Readylift 46-2727 kit?
I've just got a quote for $1200 to Install the kit, mount and balance tires and then do an alignment post install. I know its not exactly a difficult kit to install and my gut instinct is to feel its a little high.
Would anyone else be willing to share their install costs as a comparison? I also realize its somewhat regional so as a point of reference I'm in South Jersey, 20 minutes outside of Philly.
Odd timing. I just dropped my truck off for an install on the 46-2727 kit today. I bought it on amazon for $543. Took it to an authorized dealer who quoted me 3 hours at $90 an hour. Alignment will be about $75. $1200
seems excessive

You must have bought it from the same person I did! Thats what I paid on Amazon. Where did you find a list of dealers? Im assuming you mean a Readylift dealers and not the ford dealership?

Yep on Amazon! I went to the readylift website and they have a list of dealers based on your location. Figured it would help with any warranty issues.
Cost me about 3 hours in my driveway....its a stupid simple install. Especially for $1200.
Exactly - these trucks are easy to lift. I wish I was local I would do anyone's install for $1000
I did drop $150 on an alignment. In the end they didn't do anything as the suggested adjustments on the RA and trackbar left things spot on. Guess it was worth the $150 for peace of mind.
For that kind of money you could buy Fox reservoir shocks with compression adjusters, or have someone else install it in 3 hours.... Seems like a simple value proposition to me
I realize its an easy fit but it doesn't fit in my garage and my driveway is a bit steep.
I mean, for $1200 or 3 hours of your time, do you not have any friends with a level driveway? You should be able to find an offroad shop to do it for a lot less than that anyways. It really is the easiest lift you'll ever do on a truck. Solid front axles are awesome.

yes at $1200 that like $100 per bolt they have to remove to install it - its not many.
