I am noticing coolant collecting on the passenger side floormat so I assume it is time for a new heater core. I am betting the best replacement is a motorcraft.
I prefer Amazon, Rockauto, or local parts stores. LMC is great and I use them but not unless its really specific/non service items. They kinda rob you on shipping. NPD is worse though.
OK. Yeah, pretty much the same here. They have some things I couldn't find anywhere else. I found some stuff they didn't have at Broncograveyard.com too.
I have to replace my heater core soon too, hopefully I can find the replacement locally.
Neither the add on rockauto or amazon mention the insulation being included. The reviews seem like the insulation isn't included either. I don't want to skimp (was trying to avoid a store brand just because it included the insulation) on a core and have my wife's legs underneath it when it fails.
The customer Q/A's on amazon say it doesn't come with it? What do others do when replacing this? Are there any other material I need other than hose clamps?
One of the tubes on my Spectra Premium would not penetrate the fire wall especally after bending it outwards to allow hoses to slip on and fit through the firewall. I returned it and went with the other Autozone one, it fit much better.
